The President and principal partner of Holmes and McGrath, Inc. is Michael B. McGrath, P.E., P.L.S. The Vice President of Land Surveying is Mary Ellen Streeter, P.L.S. Timothy M. Santos, P.E. is the Vice President of Engineering. Holmes and McGrath, Inc. was formed in 1979 and is derived from the proprietorship of Philip D. Holmes. The firm has had extensive experience in land surveying and civil engineering projects in Massachusetts designing and permitting over seventy residential subdivisions, preparing hundreds of commercial site plans, and filing thousands of environmental permits.
Holmes and McGrath, Inc., through affiliated firms, designs and operates RUCKTM residential and large-scale RUCK CFTTM wastewater treatment systems. Our Certified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators operate many differing wastewater treatment systems, both residential and commercial. The firm has experienced land surveyors capable of performing almost any type of survey. We have several high-accuracy measurement instruments including robotic total stations and GPS units. Our crews are equipped with the capability to transmit data almost simultaneously so field measurements can be rapidly converted to plans. We have three Registered Professional Land Surveyors on staff. Our surveyors have access to over 40,000 plans stored on our servers.
The civil engineers have a long history of working together to efficiently accomplish the individual tasks involved in each project. The firm has extensive experience in designing roads, wastewater treatment systems, earthworks of all kinds and drainage systems.
