Mary Ellen Streeter, Vice President in charge of Land Surveying of Holmes and McGrath, Inc., holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts and is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. After receiving her bachelors degree, Mrs. Streeter worked for two years with the firm of Charles N. Savery Co before coming to Philip D. Holmes Company, the predecesor of Holmes and McGrath. She has been involved in determining the property lines for various projects, large and small, particularly for recording at the Registry of Deeds and also at the Massachusetts Land Court, as well as the creation of new subdivisions. Mrs. Streeter has acted as a representative of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a subject matter expert for the National Council of Engineering Examiners with regard to the setting of passing scores and the suitability of particular questions on examinations for land surveyors. She is currently a member of the MALSCE Exam Committee which works in conjunction with the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors by preparing examination questions and suggesting passing scores for the state specific portion of the examination for Professional Land Surveyors. She is a member of The American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, The Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers(M.A.L.S.C.E.), and The American Society of Civil Engineers. Mrs. Streeter is currently the Secretary of the M.A.L.S.C.E. Board of Directors and president of the Cape Cod Chapter of M.A.L.S.C.E. Mrs. Streeter began working for Philip D. Holmes in 1973 and was, therefore, a member of Holmes and McGrath, Inc. at its inception in 1979. She is currently on the Board of Directors and is Vice President and Clerk as well as a stockholder of Holmes and McGrath, Inc. |
